DTF Transfers

• A png file with a transparent background is required.
• Create your design at the size you'd like it printing at.
• Save at 300dpi. If less it will affect your print quality.
• Tip: Once saved, view at 100% size (not on a cell phone). Check the edges—if they appear fuzzy or have transparent pixels, these will show up in the print and affect the final result.
• For best colour accuracy create your design/s using a CMYK colour pallet.
• Don't use a low resolution image then upscale.
• Avoid screenshots, web images, or AI art that’s been upscaled too aggressively. Soft edges = soft prints. DTF exposes every flaw.
• Anything with opacity below 90% can print muddy or washed out. Glows, shadows, smoke, mist, watercolour effects aren't suitable for DTF—these need flattening or reworking.
• Convert semi‑transparent areas to solid shapes or controlled dithering.
• Tiny text, micro‑details, and thin outlines can break or flake. Minimum recommended line weight: 1.2–1.5 pt. Minimum text size: 8–10 pt, depending on font.
• Avoid “RGB black” (0,0,0). Use rich black for depth. Ensure white elements are solid, not semi‑transparent. Don’t assume the printer will “fill in” missing white underbases.
• Avoid gradients that transition through transparency.
• Our RGBO channels offer a wider range of colours than most shops, but physics still has the final say. Neons, metallics, and ultra‑bright digital colours can’t match the brightness of a screen. Blues and purples tend to be the trickiest areas.
• Designs with large solid block of colour can feel heavy or plasticky. Break them up with texture, halftones, or subtle patterning. You'll love the softer feel.

Using a commercial heat press, set the temperature to 285°F (140C) and place your print face down on the garment in the desired position. Press with firm pressure for 10-12 seconds. Leave to cool slightly then carefully peel off the film taking care, especially around finer details. Re-press with your preferred top sheet (parchment paper or teflon) for 10 seconds to ensure good adhesion. Allow garment to cool fully.

• Wait 24 hours before washing
• Wash inside out
• Do not use bleach or fabric softener
• Wash in cold water and hang to dry or tumble dry on a low heat setting

• If collecting, please allow 2-3 working days for your order to be ready.
• For deliveries, please allow a little extra time. Also, deliveries aren’t available on weekends or public holidays.

If we have made a mistake with your order or sent you the wrong items, please let us know and we will get that fixed for you. Please check before you print as we cannot replace the cost of the garments etc.

If you didn't set your file up correctly or ordered the wrong size or quantity, sorry, we can't issue a refund or offer a free replacement, so please make sure you have read and followed the file preparation guidelines above before you confirm your order.

Refunds are not available for user error when pressing so please make sure that you are using the correct equipment and that your temperature, time and pressure are accurate.
